Uintah Basin In Celebration

We have just two more weeks of summer vacation. It's been a great summer. Here is what we've completed since I last posted.

#3 - Go to Roosevelt Pool
#15 - UBIC Parade
#66 - Eat Watermelon
#69 - Water Balloon Fight

And I wish I had more pictures. Lucy loves the pool. She does not like floating on her back, though. She took swimming lessons and loved it until that was required. The water balloon fight was part of a water party Courtney put on for some other kids in the neighborhood, and that was fun.

This weekend marked Uintah Basin in Celebration. Lots of games. competitions and stuff went on in Roosevelt this week. Saturday was a full event, though. First, we hit up the free breakfast in the morning (sausage and bacon were served!), then we staked our claim on the parade route. What a parade it was. Just about every business in Roosevelt had a truck/tractor/horse in the parade. I only remembered to take pictures of the parade near the end and got this pink suburban. The Goose had a great time watching all the amazing things pass by along with all the kids running to get candy.

Later that night we went to the free concert-the cover band, The Party of Five and the late-90s alternative band Vertical Horizon. I loved listening to songs from my youth, and the Goose had a great time at her first rock concert. She rocked out to some of the songs, but mostly sat and ate popcorn or ran down the other side of the hill and back up. We got home at 10:30, but she was fast asleep within two minutes of being in her car seat.

We did some pigtails for church this week. Luckily she's showing off for Grandma on Skype in these first two. It's very difficult to get a good picture of her because when she's at her cutest she will usually come charging at the camera as soon as she sees me.
